Simmer Pot Recipes To Make Your House Smell Amazing
Did you know scents can affect a person’s mood or work performance? I know, crazy right? But there’s science behind it! A fresh smelling space makes us much happier, it’s a scientific fact![1]
The problem is, being energy effecient, modern homes are pretty air-tight, meaning smells tend to linger on for longer. Yes, you could light up a few scented candles but they don’t always do the job in other parts of the house – unless you’re happy to leave unattended candles burning throughout the house!
However, it’s not difficult to give your home that fancy spa smell, without a candle in site.
Use these all natural stove top simmering scents to make your home smell super clean and wonderful!
The idea is to bring to a boil 2-3 cups of water along with fresh fruit, fresh herbs, and extracts. Then simmer on low heat and your home will start to smell amazing. If you’re the forgetful type, then you can also do these in a slow cooker.
If you leave all the internal doors in your home open, the smell will permiate through the entire house (or apartment) in one sweep.
It’s also a great way to use up scrapes of fruit, peel and herbs, saving you money in the process!
